The TAP Program has returned this academic year after much success and support from our graduate student body. As the Director of Campus Affairs, I am excited to see this program come to life and become a continuing staple for USC graduate students. For those of you that may be unfamiliar with the program, the USC TAP Graduate Pass is only $80. This pass allows a student unlimited rides, seven days a week, on the Metro Rapid bus lines and the Red, Blue, Green, Gold and Expo rail lines as well as regular Metro buses traveling (including zones 1 and 2). The pass can be used starting the first day of classes on August 27, 2012 through January 13, 2012, the last day of Winter Break.
Full-time graduate students can opt into the program by paying an $80 co-payment, plus a one time $5 card fee for new users, through the “public transit” tab of the USC Transportation website (http://usc.edu/parking) on a first come, first served basis. If you participated in the program last year and still have your TAP card, there is no $5 card fee. After the fee has been charged to your USC student fee bill, students will receive notification. Once you receive the confirmation of payment email, you can pick up your card in the GSG Office (Tutor Campus Center 224), Monday- Thursday, 10 am- 4pm.
Thank you so much! I look forward to a great year!
