I don't have an alarm clock. I have no dress code. Once a week, I TA for an hour and a half- I don't even grade homework. I'm paid a living wage to read and write papers, go to seminars where they feed us small art-like desserts and Italian cheeses before impressive people come to talk about their lives' work. The perpetual Spring of Los Angeles confuses time. And yet, Valentine's Day's coming round again and so, my birthday.
....I'll grow up sometime, I tell myself every year.

Today I wasn't able to connect to the Internet. I restarted my computer, my cable modem, and the router several times, but nothing happened. I almost cried cause I had to finish my paper. I went to my roommate to ask for help. It took him 20 seconds to notice the wireless switch on my laptop was off!
I am getting my PhD in computer science. He is a club promoter. Oh MGL!

Last weekend I went to my old high school reunion. Everyone there had something to brag about - BMW, house, marriage, babies, dream jobs, etc. The most awesome thing I could think of was that I got best TA award and finally passed my quals. MyGLife!
