Fall 2011

Monday August 29th from 6:00-8:00PM (Radisson Grand Ballroom); download Agenda at bottom of the page
Monday September 26th from 6:00-8:00PM (Radisson Grand Ballroom)
Monday October 24th from 6:00-8:00PM (HSC, Mayer Auditorium); shuttle will be provided from UPC
Monday November 28th from 6:00-8:00PM (Radisson Grand Ballroom)

Spring 2012

Monday January 30th from 6:00-8:00PM (Radisson Grand Ballroom)
Monday February 27th from 6:00-8:00PM (MCH 149 @ HSC); shuttle will be provided from UPC

Please note that the elections meeting to elect the next Executive Board will take place on Monday March 19th from 6-8PM in the Radisson Ballroom. All are invited to attend, but only GSG Senators will have the ability to vote.

Information for New Senators

Please fill out the "New Senator Info" online form. There you will find everything you need to get started. Welcome to GPSS!

Each year, students from each department elect at least one senator for their umbrella organizations. Senators make important decisions regarding policies, funding, and advocacy issues. For more information regarding your department's elections procedures, please contact your department's faculty advisor or current department senator.

For more information on your role as a senator, please read the Senator Responsibilities before the first senate meeting.

You should also check out the Step-By-Step Guide for New Senators (coming soson!) to make sure that you're clear about your duties.

Senators are responsible for attending every senate meeting (usually the last Monday of each month) from 6:00-8:00PM. Senators must also actively participate in GPSS Committees.

Senate Retreat

Save the Date! Saturday September 24th from 9:00AM-5:00PM at the Annenberg Community Beach House (415 Pacific Coast Highway in Santa Monica)

The Senate Retreat is an opportunity for new and returning senators to meet the Executive Board and become acquainted with the policies and procedures of GPSS. We'll discuss the structure of GPSS, brainstorm advocacy issues, and discuss your role as a senator.

Senator Discussion Group

The Senator Discussion Group is an online platform for the senators to discuss various concerns related to senate proceedings or any other mutual topics of interest. If you are a senator and are not a member of the discussion group, please email Jennifer Reynolds, the Director of Elections and Recruitment at gpsser@usc.edu to add you to the group.
