IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDINGG IR PICKUP:
IR (Internal Requisitions) are generated at the UPC finance office. All IRs generated for HSC student groups will be placed in the HSC box. If you would like an IR picked up and brought to HSC, please sign up here. IR's are picked up from UPC GSG office on Mondays at 5pm and Thursdays at 5pm. You will receive an email once they are at HSC. The IRs can be picked up at HSC during office hours - M-Th 12-1, F 11-12. The GSG office is located at SRH101A (Seaver Cafeteria next to Starbucks. For any questions, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.

Event: GSG Movie Night: The Soloist
When: Thursday, November 13th at 6:00PM
Where: Hastings Auditorium
Event Details: For Homelessness and Hunger Awareness Month, we are screening the Soloist, starring Jamie Foxx and Robert Downey, Jr. There will be dinner from Burger Continental and we will have materials to make fleece blankets for the homeless.

Event: GSG Winter Formal
When: Thursday, November 14th 9pm-12am
Where: The Radisson at USC, 3540 S Figueroa St, Los Angeles, CA 90007
Event Details: GSG is taking you to the Gatsby Era with this year's Winter Formal! The Radisson is lending us there grand ball room to host our Winter Formal this year! There will be a DJ so you can show off your moves. If you don't want to dance, don't fret. We have you covered too! There will also be casino games to keep you entertained. Maybe you aren't a card shark, There will also be food there and plenty of drink to go around at the cash bar!

Event: Annual GSG Thanksgiving Dinner at HSC!
When: Wednesday, November 20th, 2013 at 6:00PM
Where: Seaver Cafeteria on the Health Science Campus
Event Details: Stuff your bellies at the annual Thanksgiving feast! Everybody is invited so come share a meal and meet your fellow graduate and professional students! We'll be giving away raffle prizes and more!
We are looking for volunteers to help out with serving food, setup, and cleanup! If you’d like to help us out, please sign up here!
Event: We Run the City 5K (UCLA v. USC!)
When: Sunday, November 24th at 9:00AM
Where: Exposition Park near USC Main Campus
Event Details: “We Run the City is an annual 5K rivalry run that supports the athletes of Special Olympics Southern California. Official timing will be carried out for this race. Students, alumni, and fans of USC and UCLA will compete for bragging rights and the We Run the City trophy.
This event kicks off rivalry week — one week prior to the UCLA vs. USC football game. This fundraiser will alternate campuses each year leading up to the 2015 Special Olympics World Summer Games in Los Angeles. Both schools will host more than 7,000 Special Olympics athletes from 170 countries.

Event: HSC GSG Presents - Experience LA!
Peter and the Starcatcher at the Ahmanson Theater
When: Thursday, December 5th, 2013 at 8:00PM
Where: Ahmanson Theater at the LA Music Center
Event Details: Peter and the Starcatcher is the most hilarious-filled evening of madcap fun! In this 5 time Tony Award winning play, a dozen brilliant actors play more than 100 unforgettable characters using their enormous talent, ingenious stagecraft and the limitless possibilities of imagination. This swashbuckling grownup prequel to Peter Pan will have you hooked from the moment you let your imagination take flight.
Ticket sales begin on Tuesday, November 19th at 9:00AM via the USC GSG website website with a maximum of 2 tickets per individual. Ticket will be $15 each and will be available for pick-up the week of the event. Please direct all questions to firstname.lastname@example.org and email@example.com.

Event: 19th Annual Health Sciences Hoyt Gallery Art Exhibit Show
Event Details: Planning for the 19th Annual Health Sciences Student, Faculty and Staff Hoyt Gallery Art Exhibit is underway. If you are interested in participating and would like more information about the 19th show, please send an email to <firstname.lastname@example.org>. Art delivery is: 11/18/13 & 11/20/13. Artwork in the current show should be picked up on 11/14/13 or 11/15/13. Please do not remove it early, so people can continue to enjoy the show.
Event: "Ethnic Style Dinner"
When: Thursday, November 14, 2013 at 5:00 PM
Where: Green Lawn next to the Zilka Building
Event Details: PTMLA will be holding this event in hopes of raising funds for our students to go to several mission trips abroad throughout the year. Tickets will be $7 in advance, $10 the day of. Event: USC SMGSA Homecoming Tailgate
When: Wednesday, November 16 @ 10am
Where: Green Lawn next to the Zilka Building
Event Details: Join the SMGSA/GSG Tailgate event to support our USC Football team as they are facing our longtime rival the Stanford "tree hugger”. The event will be filled with fun games, BBQ and happy sheers as we reach for the win. Free food and drinks included.
Event: 4th Annual OT/PT Forum Hosted by Pi Theta Epsilon and the Physical Therapy Student Association
When: Thursday, November 21 @ 5:30-8pm
Where: Center for Health Professions (CHP Building)
Event Details: The evening will begin with a light dinner reception with food and beverages being provided in CHP 139. You will also have the freedom to eat and interact with students and faculty from other departments and there will be posters spread amongst rooms 109,111,112 and 113 highlighting current research by students and faculty from the Division of Occupational Science & Occupational Therapy and the Division of Biokinesiology & Physical Therapy will be displayed. Then, occupational therapy and physical therapy practitioner dyads will present two cases, one from each of the following practice areas: pediatrics and hospital based physical disabilities. The presentations will include an interdisciplinary portion that encourages collaboration between the occupational therapy and physical therapy students.
