What is GSG?

We are Graduate Student Government (GSG). We provide the voice to over 17,000 students at USC. Our structure includes a Senate of 80 graduate students from the various schools and departments at the school. These senators are elected or selected by the governing student organization at each school or department.

Last year, for their final project as grad students in the Annenberg Program for Online Communities (APOC), they created a mobile app they called MingleBird. This year, they were invited by Jason Calacanis to participate in his new LAUNCH startup conference in San Francisco where forty cutting-edge, and never-before seen, technology companies debuted. Companies had the chance to present, get judged and possibly funded by angel investors and venture capitalists -- and get launched!

Trojan DM is an outrageously fun, 12 hour, all-night, philanthropic event benefiting the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Hundreds of USC students come together and pledge to remain on their feet, dancing for twelve hours in honor of the personal struggles experienced by the patients at CHLA. STUDENTS DANCING FOR MIRACLES.

DM features a variety of DJs, live entertainment, Celebrity appearances, themed activities, delicious food, exciting prizes, and much more! No dance skills required to participate.

ipad  The Adobe® Design Achievement Awards celebrate student and faculty achievement reflecting the powerful convergence of technology and the creative arts.
