Addiction is a real disease. What do you grad students think about the Charlie Sheen's radical behavior in a bizarre interview on ABC's "20/20" and new social media career? Is he "winning" with the people or is he a man crying out for help in the form of a media trainwreck? What is the media's responsibility if any?
Sheen joined Twitter this week and amassed over 1 million followers almost overnight. The Los Angeles Times reported "Guinness World Records said on its Facebook page that Sheen was in fact the fastest to ever hit 1 million followers on Twitter, which he did in 25 hours and 17 minutes." With mouths to feed, he starting working pay-for-play tweeting through the service Ad.ly. His rants against his canceled No. 1 show 'Two and a Half Men' started immediately. To date Sheen was the highest paid actor on a television comedy, netting $2 million per episode, far surpassing Seinfeld.
